Bringing Hope and Help to Inland China

William

Chinese Name: Xin Weidi

Birthday:  January 6, 2005

Gender: Male

Special Needs: Cleft lip repaired in 2007. Possible mental underdevelopment.

William is a very sweet boy who plays well on his own and causes no fuss. He loves outdoor activities and likes to ride tricycles and bicycles. He also interacts well with the other children and often helps the nannies push the younger kids in the stollers.

His speech is not as developed as it should be at five years of age. He was enrolled in preschool in late March, and we are happy to report that his teacher says he is intelligent and very interested in learning. She is working with him on his speech, assessing whether he may need a speech therapist.

He loves to laugh and play with the other children. Most of all, he is awaiting the day when his own Forever Family arrives to take him home. And we are excited to report that we have an interested family who has begun the paperwork to adopt William!

William was named for our dear friend and partner William Cothron of Texas.
